One of our core values here at Epic is Servanthood. You're never more like Jesus than when you serve others, and Love Week is one of our favorite ways to do that. Check out these awesome ways you can get involved. To sign up for each event, simply click the link below the event you want to participate in. If you've got any questions at all, feel free to email Anna, our Outreach Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year Love Week looks a little different due to Covid-19, BUT that doesn’t mean it won’t make HUGE difference in our neighborhoods and communities. Small acts of kindness make a BIG impact. Now is the time to remind our neighbors and communities that they are loved and we’re in this together! Let’s me a voice of hope in this season!
How to participate:
Participate in each day’s act of kindness.
Snap a picture.
Post it. Don’t forget to use #LoveWeek AND tag @epicchurchtv
We will reshare to spread hope throughout our community!
April 5, Day 1- Celebrate Someone- This day is all about celebrating someone! Whether you mail a thank you note, make a phone call, send a text, or make a special post on social media, there are ALL kinds of ways to #CelebrateSomeone for being awesome! Be sure to share a picture on social media, and let us know why you are celebrating them. Add the hashtag#celebratesomeone It may be the spark that helps someone make it through the day or encourages them to go reach that goal. Who knows? But it certainly can’t hurt.
April 6, Day 2- Letters of Love for Seniors- This is a great one to get the kids involved in, too. Grab some paper, crayons, pencils, markers, stickers, and whatever else will help make the perfect card of encouragement! Write a letter filled with hope and love and have your kids add some beautiful drawings! Mail them to a local nursing home. Let’s bring some joy and comfort to seniors during this time.
April 7, Day 3- Chalk Your Walk- Grab some chalk and head out to your sidewalk or driveway! Fill it with scriptures and other inspirational messages! This is a great way to help people walking through your neighborhood feel connected and encouraged to stay strong in this time of social distancing due to Covid-19. Don’t forget to post a picture, hashtag it #LoveWeek #ChalkYourWalk AND tag us @epicchurchtv
April 8, Day 4- Thank Your Mail Carrier- Before your mail carrier arrives, leave a thank you card, candy, gift card or some other surprise with an encouraging note! Don’t forget to take a picture, tag us and hashtag it #LoveWeek
April 9, Day 5- Hospital Hospitality- We all know someone working in healthcare. They are on the frontlines of serving our community during this time. Today, say a special thank you to them by buying them a meal. Order curbside and drop it on their porch or have it delivered to them! —Even better when supporting local businesses!
April 10, Day 6- Love Your Neighbor- Bake them cookies, take them a care package, mow their yard, wash their car, give them fresh flowers to brighten their home, and the list goes on! There are so many ways to love your literal neighbor!
April 11, Day 7- Grocery Store Generosity- Go out of your way today to bless an employee at a grocery store during this time. Give them a thank you card, a gift bag or gift card, or a monetary gift with some kind words. Find a way to say thank you and bless them through an act of generosity.
